It’s how I do it (I used work in a hospital lab). Depends how good the nurse is at it. If you’ve honestly never had one done before, don’t worry. Do mosquito bites hurt? This isn’t going to be any worse than that. Just look at a picture on the wall or something. My advice is to NOT watch them put the needle in your arm. It will seem like it hurts more if you’re looking at it. If you ask me if I take a slap on my wrist or a needle for blood work. I’d choose blood work. Modern needles are quite effective in terms of not causing pain. For me, it only started to hurt when my arm was already bruised from so many blood draws in a short amount of time (hospital). Not like, crying ow but definitely more than a pinch.
