The reason it’s not is they would have to change it’s perspective too much. Whereas they could cut him out of his picture and just paste him into her picture. Same with the birds and the people in the background could have been from either picture, or neither picture. You could think the light may have just been over too far to be in his picture, but there is another landmark next to him, near the object, that places where the light should be directly behind him. Years ago I worked in a pub in the evenings. I was talking to one of the regulars one evening and he mentioned being in the army when he was younger. I said my dad was too and told him which regiment. To cut a long story short, my dad was his Staff Sergeant when I was around four years old and he would come and babysit me and my brother when my parents were out for the evening. I thought so too. Why wouldn’t he have the same shirt on and the same people be in the background? Those aren’t current pictures of them as adults. I’ve seen the story before and it had wedding photos and current photos of the couple. They found out about him being in her picture when they were going through the woman’s parents old pictures and the guy saw himself in the background. I would imagine this happens all the time at major monuments and buildings all over the world. It’s not all that interesting in my opinion. I sat next to a woman in a bar one time that was twenty years older than me but born on the same day of the month.
