This man is telling you who he is. You may have been together for 13 years, but you didn’t know him. Now he is telling you, clearly, who he is. He would have to kill you? And you’re going to call that a joke? I don’t care if y’all were together for 70 years, casually saying they would have to kill you if you made a choice about your body is grounds to get out in a hurry. Yeah, he’s not “pro life” in any way, shape or form. He’s pro-forced birth. And he has just shown you his true colors. What you do with that is up to you. Being pregnant is my biggest nightmare because this is my body and it terrifies me to think of it as.your boyfriend says, “that once you’re pregnant it’s not your body anymore.” That’s an interesting perspective to be so blase about. There are a lot of horror movies based on this exact idea. Blessed be the mother’s for making that choice and blessed be that I get to make that choice. Fuck.

I was the Conan The Barbarian 40th Anniversary Shirt and I love this daughter of a single 16 year old mom and though I love her I frequently wish she waited until she was older so we could have had a better life. I’ve spent a lot of my life wishing I was never born I couldn’t imagine putting that burden onto a new soul. I’m so sorry that abortion is a debate at all. I think the biggest red flag here is that you’re not comfortable discussing with him your two past abortions. I’m not saying it needs to be something you shout from the rooftops as it is private (and should remain so if you choose), but after 13 years, knowing you couldn’t share this with him is concerning. Sadly, we live in a time where it’s no longer safe, especially as women, to “keep politics” out of it. I don’t think I could continue to be with someone who share my opposite views on these types of matter. I hope you can find peace. Follow your gut. And know that you did NOTHING wrong choosing to terminate in your past. Abortion is healthcare.
