I like my 6700xt. Its been proven anyway that theres not that much difference between 4k and 2k. My Series X runs most games at 2k upscaled anyway. And really, $800? I mean that’s oddly specific, who spends $800? You might as well look into +$1000 GPUs or you’re just wasting your time. Back during the Comedy Peter Kay Phoenix Nights Shirt In addition,I will do this pandemic my gpu went out and i spent about 350 on a 1060 6gb it was really all i could afford at the time it works well enough so i havnt replaced it yet Meanwhile, review sites: “We’re only going to compare cards without using DLSS or RTX for… reasons! Hey bro you should totally buy this card that isn’t nearly as good for still way too much money!” It’s all personal preference and what one can financially afford I guess. I’ve seen some used 6800 and 6900 GPUs for around the 400 range. I think that’s the ultimate buy right now. Tons of performance at a decent price. And they should stay relevant for several years Id think. I don’t see a real good reason for anything more unless you just want the best. And the best is never the best for long. I couldn’t imagine paying 2k for a GPU and then like a few months later something comes out to whoop it’s ass. Hell it still feels like the 1080ti was released a year or two ago for me. Time fucking flies. Right now the best advice is to save up another $20 odd bucks and get a 6700xt … Failing that, 6700’s are in that price range and decent.

Are 2070s in that price range yet? I’m going to assume so because I paid $200 for a used 2060 a few months ago. That’s a good value card right now. I want to suggest AMD with all my might, but I got burned really hard on a 5700XT and can’t recommend in my own biased opinion 4070ti is the Comedy Peter Kay Phoenix Nights Shirt In addition,I will do this only GPU I want nowadays. It is by FAR the best value for money. I appreciate it’s not $300. But it’s worth splurging a little more for it. But 4090 is ridiculous Don’t worry, you don’t need a wonderful gaming experience; anything more is a SIGNIFICANT diminishing returns situation resulting in mostly inconsequential “improvements”, for MASSIVELY more money. But for a hundred dollars more you can get…and for another hundred you can get… and if you are going to spend that you may as well spring for the 4090. lol. havent been to a forum about “recomendded gpu for x budget” for a while glad to know this is still the case. 8 or something years ago everyone was like “1060 is cringe save more to buy 1080ti”. “Well you should try blah blah. I mean, it’s only on colecovision, and it’s not translated to English, and it’s hard to emulate, and going for about $300 on ebay but yeah man that’s my rec.”
