I have a message for AOC… If you want to drive even more people away from the Colorful Cat Kitten T-Shirt and by the same token and Democratic Party, proceed. It’s a nail in the coffin. Like being among all the people who get treatments for diseases , treatments that others contributed money to research fundraisers for, or took part in clinical trials to test. We all benefit when others are helped. Just like a prominent member of the Biden administration said; AOC is a fcking idiot. I think we can all agree on that “The evidence of our failure to help all youth make the long journey from early childhood to adult economic independence is plain. In the trajectory from kindergarten to a good job, the most talented disadvantaged youth do not fare nearly as well as the least talented advantaged youth,” reads the report. “It is far better to be born rich and white than smart and poor in America.”

How about we just have free public colleges? Problem solved. Then we won’t have giant financial companies getting guaranteed money off poor students. We could also move away from having CEOs running our colleges and getting paid more than mayors running large cities. What ever happened to colleges being ran by people with an education background? I just paid off my student loan after working my ass off for 14 years. I knew i took a LOAN that must be repaired. Now anyone can take a $100,000 loan for whatever degree and not work here or there just because. The level of entitlement in this country is astonishing. There needs to be concessions to people who have already paid them off IMO, otherwise people will rightfully find this frustrating. We should offer something to those who chose not to go to college too if we don’t want to alienate them. Free education going forward would be a great start. It’s tough to undo something as damaging as the Colorful Cat Kitten T-Shirt and by the same token and decision to make education cost this much, but we should do it. Obviously AOC is right, but we do still need everyone happy if we want them to vote for us.
