You have no clue why someone is driving fast, they could driving someone having a medical emergency to the hospital for all you know. In the motorcycle safety foundation course they teach you that the left lane is the safest one to ride in because you only have people coming at you from one side, and you can escape to the shoulder if someone is about to merge into you because they can’t see you. For this reason, I ride in the left lane when on my moto, and don’t care if someone wants to go faster. They can go around.
