But I guess it’s convenient to ignore these facts and just call the game racist for no reason? Based on how well 4 landed they’d probably knock 5 out of the park but it’s kind of at the point where it doesn’t need a remake. It would look better no doubt, but the mechanical and visual gulf isn’t nearly as wide as it was for 2, 3 and 4. 6 is interesting because in terms of controls it’s very close to the remakes, and like 5 it’s much closer visually, but in terms of content a remake would be an opportunity to just treat it as a do-over. The awkward single person QTEs, half the cutscenes involving running from an explosion, etc. Leon’s campaign didn’t really live up to the survival horror billing, Jake’s campaign had Diet Nemesis show up so many times it became boring, Chris’ campaign was dollar store Gears of War. Ada’s was at least sort of interesting. It would be a big undertaking for probably less payoff than remaking others but it may be doable.
