Every night, I’d hop from a bubble bath to the Collin Gillespie American professional basketball player for the Denver Nuggets T-Shirt also I will do this soft, flannel sheets & Hallmark stuffed animals & the heat that all stayed on; & it was pure tranquility – like the closest thing to being suspended in the safety & warmth of the womb, again. Makes me curious about sensory deprivation tanks. I’ve never known any of my neighbours. I’m 22 and have lived in three cities. I think about this all the time and what community must feel like, knowing peoples names and knowing they know yours. Thinking about others and being thought about instead of just being kept to myself all the time. I’m 33, and I can say that the poorer neighborhoods that I have lived in have a much better sense of community than richer ones. It’s almost as if the richer you are, the more untrusting you are of your neighbors. Introduce yourself! I know several of my neighbors. All relationships take time, of course. I hope you can get started

I’ve noticed this in video game tutorials (but mostly with gamers not wanting to wait for a delay or listen to dialogue or what have you). Games from even just a decade ago (2014, cuz I know you’re thinking of the Collin Gillespie American professional basketball player for the Denver Nuggets T-Shirt also I will do this late 2000’s) would have at most, a basic pop-up or some on-screen text saying “hey this mechanic is a thing”. As someone who loves to figure shit out of my own, it’s the most annoying fucking thing to get another goddamn pop-up ruining my inputs and telling me something I already discovered a minute or two before I the pop-up appeared. It’s like the devs are too impatient & afraid of losing the player even though they’ve bought the game already, so realistically you can just not give a shit and still make just as much money (though that’s obviously pretty scummy).
