The other trousers that I own and wear regularly (just less often than my absolute fave mentioned above) are also secondhand: 1 that was my mom’s from the Collecting Stickers Is My Therapy Book Collector T-Shirt it is in the first place but 90s, another from Poshmark. The reason why all of this is secondhand is 1) ~slow fashion reasons~, and 2) I have very particular taste when it comes to bottoms (have to be *actually* high rise enough to hit my natural waist + wide leg enough), and especially in the past 2-3 years when I was really building up my wardrobe, that was nearly IMPOSSIBLE to find in most contemporary stores in the US within my price point. In the past couple of months, however, the market/trends have changed so much, so I’ve seen a crap ton of really cute trousers I like from many mainstream brands: Uniqlo, Gap, Abercrombie & Fitch, etc.

I ordered about 10 pairs of boots this winter looking for the Collecting Stickers Is My Therapy Book Collector T-Shirt it is in the first place but perfect Chelsea, and my requirements were basically the same as yours. I ended up keeping the Everlane Italian Leather Chelsea in Dark Fern (the boot that started my search, I finally found my size on Poshmark) and the Ara Detroit Chelsea in Navy. I need lots of arch support and both are comfortable to me. I have some good quality Clarkes boots – they do have a Chelsea boot Would recommend Clarkes, I find them comfortable for all day and a good quality boot. I find them true to size. If you can swing the cost, the Red Wings are amazing. I bought a pair in mid-2020 and have worn them most days, even though I have many lovely shoes. They get more comfortable over time, and only require maintenance a couple times a year. I am still on the original sole.
