Tbh I dont know how deep the Cleveland Browns Est 1946 National football League shirt in contrast I will get this racism goes in this country, but the 2 schools and 1 job i went to (woolies funnily enough), I pretty much never saw any racism and when I did it was immediately called out. I had a filipino friend who did have a bad experience with an elderly guy during covid, in which the guy was for some reason connecting my friend being asian to covid being spread, which was extremely racist. I know my experiences are ancedotal, but I think its unfair to call Australia “a racist country” because you’re experiences are also ancedotal, not that I don’t have sympathy for your friends situation. As for the reference u made to Nazi’s, I think this problem, while terrible, is linked more globally than just being domestic.

Is awful when you can start to quantify how racist society is using lost rent. One of my favourite quotes of all time is from Terence: “Homo sum, humani nihil a me alienum puto”, or “I am human, and I think nothing human is alien to me.” Perfectly sums up how easy it is to get over xenophobic views, and this is from a bloke who existed well over 2,000 years ago.
