This one came from an incident on a 20 seater aircraft where everyone piled in the back and the small airplanes control surfaces could not level the plane at takeoff speed because of it. It doesn’t matter even slightly on a boring 737. A flight attendant once told me it’s because they want to limit internet activity and communication on devices so people aren’t allowed too many potential distractions if an emergency was to occur.
