I feel ancient, I’ve had the Christmas In July Santa Beach Summer Float Xmas Shirt in contrast I will get this same ring tone since 2001 (ppk – resurrection), I personalise every new phone the same with my favourite background, a home screen with a photo frame that cycles my gallery and ringtones for certain people. Though we all use WhatsApp for calling now so the ringtones are defunct! I still remember sending a free SMS to a 4 digit number with a number and they would send you the corresponding title from their “hit parade” of ringtones. That was crazy enough already for 10 y/o me, but the 4 digit number was actually our landline number. So of course lil’ me assumed everyone had such a service. Like, you would send a SMS to your own landline and get a free ringtone. I set my call ring tone to the Law and Order: SVU theme song, so at least when I get spam calls I can be amused while waiting for it to go to voicemail. I only did it recently though. For the most part I didn’t think about changing it for newer phones because I don’t get calls as much anymore, most of my communications are through text.

I modded my ringtones ages back. My ringtone is the Christmas In July Santa Beach Summer Float Xmas Shirt in contrast I will get this TARDIS sound, makes it more obvious it’s my phone ringing when i hear it Back when we realized we have our phones on mute 99.9% of the time anyway, I guess. Also, because people barely call these days. It’s all text. Then again, recently people seem to have forgotten that one can mute phones because there’s always at least three people on any tram I’m on either playing a mobile game on full volume, having a call on speaker or having their phone beep every two seconds because they either have sound enabled or constantly get texts. All that aside, I have considered changing my husband’s ringtone for me to the part of Reverend and The Makers’ Song Bandits that goes “and me mobile’s ringing, it’s me wife” for a while now.
