Tokyo is full of “love hotels”. Every night. People get hotel rooms for romantic getaway weekends, last minute hook ups, cheating and affairs, because they live with their parents, and sex workers. Lots of people my age (early 20s) live with their parents and don’t have the wealth to move out and live on their own. Hotel room is really the best place you can go to get away from that.
