trusting my father…..I actually tried this multiple times and I was treated seriously by the Cheawon Antifragile Album Shirt in other words I will buy this workers on the loading docks who informed me that it’s illegal to employ 13 year old and of course they would not be able to pay me under the table. My father scoffed at me when I didn’t land a job. He said I needed to dress better and generously gifted me a button up shirt of his and a pair of pants. When I was struggling to find work my dad was very intent on me handing in my resumes in person. I had to tell him that the jobs I was applying for had security and I would be thrown out, and all job applications had turned online. He didn’t quite understand, and honestly neither did I, online applications were pretty new and I don’t even think employers knew how to use it. I remember getting an interview kinda far away from where i was living now and talked to my parents about it, I couldn’t afford to fly down and get a hotel, rent a car, etc for an interview. My dad told me they should be paying to interview me. I was like “I don’t think anyone is going to do that…”, but he was like, “what’s the harm in asking?” Well, I asked and they withdrew their offer because there was no way I could afford to pay that at the time.

My dad was one of those people always saying “go to college so you don’t have to flip burgers or work at a starbucks”. And this was beaten into my head since I was a young kid. Well, after a while of trying to get a job and going no where my dad started telling me to apply to starbucks and places around town (where he lives, it’s pretty rural). I was like, “so, I just finished 8 years of intensive education, that you told me to do if I ever didn’t want to be doing these jobs, and now you are telling me to take these jobs?”. A decade later and I don’t think he really gets it, he’s watched my younger siblings graduate from college into a jobless world as well with degrees that mean absolutely nothing. In 2006 all of the Cheawon Antifragile Album Shirt in other words I will buy this degrees probably were worth something, brother and I both have STEM undergrad degrees, my sister was in business stuff or whatever.
