Because the Celiac Disease Green Ribbon Awareness Support Heart T-Shirt in addition I really love this flawed democracy that elected them based mostly on a weird popularity contest where a majority of people are voting not because they think this person is best for their country but just because they like this person more than the other one Not to mention the average American is so unundicated about how the government works that many of them don’t even realize the power they are giving these people until they have it And this is coming from me a fellow American who is constantly surprised by the fact that most of my fellow Americans did not also take a American government class back in high school that should have explained to them how most of this works Because younger people would have to live w the outcomes of their decisions. What’s happening right now ultimately requires people who don’t give a shit

Celiac Disease Green Ribbon Awareness Support Heart T-Shirt, hoodie, tank top, sweater and long sleeve t-shirt

Baby boomers vote for baby boomers and they vote much more consistently than the Celiac Disease Green Ribbon Awareness Support Heart T-Shirt in addition I really love this younger generations. Also gerrymandering. Ect. Also, Congress getting older is a reflection of America getting older. See: The difference in age between the median American and median congressperson has stayed remarkably stable for decades. If you’re waiting for congress to become substantially younger, it’s probably not going to happen. People are living longer and the incumbent advantage is strong. This has always happened (look at Strom Thurmond) but is just more frequent today. Maybe this will motivate those under 40 to step up their participation in elections. People just keep staying home and not voting (1/3 of eligible voters in 2020 didn’t vote) and that’s how we got here. Because it’s a giant pyramid scheme and everyone has to bribe and suck up to the guy above them who tends to be just a little older and a little richer The current President of the United States was Vice President for a younger than average President specifically looking for a more experienced running mate to balance his ticket. So it kind of makes sense that he’d be on the older side. And I will note, that plenty of younger than 70 candidates ran in 2020, but 90% of the primary vote went to oldsters. The Senate Majority Leader is 73, the Senate Minority Leader is 82. That’s old, but the Senate skews older as the terms are 6 years.
