If the game gives you pretty much a blank slate character with lots of customization like in the Elder Scrolls and Fallout games then I’m going to play a mix with multiple characters. I enjoy coming up with characrers for RPG games, and when I do come up with one I don’t have a gender in mind. I have a concept that eventually forms into whatever feels right. When I play these characters I’m not playing myself, I’m experiencing the journey of the character. Other guys may have different answers, especially as I don’t like to play as a woman exclusively. A common one I’ve seen is “If I have to stare at this character’s ass for a bunch of hours it might as well be hot.”
