The irony of Reddit. This is 100% true, but you guys just voted for a life time politician who’s buddies are all also politicians. We won’t be seeing term limits for a long time, or ever with a democratic president. Term limits could very well save this country from corruption and its systemic issues There should be term limits across the Cat wars Star wars shirt Additionally,I will love this board. That simple. We should have never aloud Politician to become a career I’d rather limit the power of the supreme court. If it makes decisions based on politics, it’s another political body. Appointments should also not be subject to minority obstruction, the Senate Majority leader should be legally obligated to bring every nominee to a vote. We’ve needed term limits for decades, not just when 1 party or the other realizes their golden calfs are being toppled. Anyone else getting sick and tired of all these great sounding suggestions that will absolutely never happen ever? Yes. Albeit, this introduces issues of them focusing on reelection efforts, but I’d rather have this then a corrupt organization just outright appointing judges that ignore what constituents want All political offices should have term limits. The court gets refreshed every 18 years and you don’t have this bullshit of the SCOTUS lottery being won by a minority of republicans presidents holding office. The contents of this column could be a bewildered person gesturing frantically at everything around them and it would be 100% accurate. We need age limits on all of our elected officials. We’ve had boomers running this country for decades now. It’s time to kick them all out and get younger people in. I unironically want a Gen Z President. Every two term president at the start of their second term, should replace the judge with the most seniority. They can pick that senor judge but their clock starts over if confirmed. People complain about the 2 party system a lot, also the electoral college, but how about we finally uncap the house of representatives and have proper representation there. The Senate is a mess too, but idk how we go about that without blatantly taking senators from the rurals. Don’t forget the senate and House of Representatives. Also they should be held accountable to the same laws as the people.
