There were 3-4 students from Andhra and I was the only guy from KA. He used to converse throughout the class in Hindi. One of the Andhra guy told please converse in English so that all of us can also understand. And one lady from the class told if you don’t understand Hindi, why did you madrasis take a class from Mumbai. The teacher kind of brushed it off and said her to be respectful for the sake of it and went on to defend himself saying, he wants that “masala” in his class. He can’t make the class interesting without a bit of Hindi in it blah blah. I said, you are teaching us communications and yet you resort to Hindi repeatedly to have some “masala” in class, without which you say, the class will be boring. He gave me a mouthful and said will report me and everything. I said the same thing, you do what’s in your power to discipline me, I will complain and give you rating which I’m entitled to give to make sure we don’t have to compensate on our ends in the future.

All the movies/songs/dialogues they play and ask us to to guess will be Hindi/Bollywood, although there is a sizeable representation of Tamil people. Noone says anything
