I think most European countries would accept you as long as you aren’t the Cat I Hug My Cat So I Dont Punch People In The Throat T-Shirt Besides,I will do this stereotypical loud nationalistic antivaxer kind of American, if people start to know you as a normal person they won’t really care that you’re American I think pretty much anywhere as long as you’re polite/work with the culture and speak well. I’ve been all over Europe and Asia and never faced any discrimination. Assuming they’re not the classic, stereotypical and loud US citizen, I think no one would mind. I have one living in the apartment just above mine and although he can’t really bring himself to learn the language, he tries really hard and I appreciate that. What I cannot stand is someone not even trying and expecting you to speak English all the time. I get that a language can be difficult to learn, but usually people from the US aren’t exactly forced to move, so if they chose this life they have to deal with the language problem. I’m trying to learn Italian as a native English speaker and it’s the verbs that are holding me back (also direct/indirect object pronouns before verbs is confusing to me). And everyone talks so fast. I think I’ll be able to read a novel before I can hold a conversation, lol.
