Find the Cardinal USC Trojans 2024 Pac 12 Women’s Basketball Conference Tournament Champions Locker Room shirt and by the same token and gold shops that exchange currency once you arrive. Be warned: don’t fold your bills! They need to be neat and crisp to get the best rates. Canadian here- just wait until you get to Vietnam. I don’t imagine you’ll have luck finding dong before departure. You will get a better rate on USD than CAD. Swap for a bit of whatever currency you have at the airport to get you into town and through the next day. Pull out more dong on your first day. Most ATMs are on the VISA plus network. Vietnam specifically has a good number of HSBC banks, particularly in tourist areas, that have zero problems reading foreign cards. Your visa will work for withdrawing money. Your debit card may as well. If you use a visa debit or something funky like that it is more likely that it will not. To add to this, when coverting to USD make sure they are 100 dollar bills. That will get your best conversion rate. Crisp, unfolded, current generation 100 dollar bills. I don’t understand why the conversion is less for say 20’s but it is.

A little more context as to why you need cash before or at the Cardinal USC Trojans 2024 Pac 12 Women’s Basketball Conference Tournament Champions Locker Room shirt and by the same token and airport? If you download Grab and add your card, you shouldn’t need it. It’s also the best way to not get grifted. Once you get to city centers, you can hit up the gold shops for the better rates. You can walk into banks for average rates. It’s always good to have a little cash on hand to ensure you aren’t dependent on technology. Grab is good but what if for some reason your payment system crashes or just doesn’t work. There was an earlier post about someone in Korea needing help because their cards weren’t working. Second, not every place accepts cards and what if you want a snack as you make your way to your lodging. I do agree that shops in the country will give you the best rates and that carrying a large sum of money prevents you from being pickpocketed or scammed. You don’t. Also, anyone in Vietnam will accept American dollars so if something happens just use the cash you have on you before hitting the jewelry store is my recommendation.
