I’ll ride in the left at 5 over the speed limit if it is safer due to potholes, snowdrifts, debris, salt trucks, busted up concrete, or super slow right lane drivers. If people followed this format, there would be much less general congestion, but people don’t realize that. The typical driver only acknowledges “LEFT = FAST AND FAST MEANS IMPORTANT AND I AM IMPORTANT”

Getting on a highway / interstate, going very slow trying to immediately get into a further left lane, while not paying attention the traffic in front of you in the right lane has left you in its dust because you think “LEFT = FASTER” and can’t look forward. The sheer inability for people to figure out how to let their car just go FUCKING STRAIGHT. Keep up with the flow of traffic. It’s the easiest thing your car can do.
