Oh yeah, I can’t stand charity unless the Bueller ferris bueller’s day off art shirt Furthermore, I will do this wealthiest people are the ones donating. Otherwise keep your money to yourself. I’m sure those in need don’t even want it. Such a backwards, fucked up take. have to say this makes sense….even though I am the person who rounds up the till, adds the $10 to the bill, and buys that damn sausage on the bbq outside for charity if large corporations and the likes had a little social conscience, maybe everyone would be a little better off It’s just a non profit that convinced the grocery store to put that ad on their checkout screens. It’s a big help to that non profit either way. There are much more important things to get upset about. Thankfully the C and K of THAT word was censored out, my little puritan heart just can’t handle seeing the word in its entirety. That leaves $5 million in taxes, so Greg’s team of executives has to fly first class instead of the private jet (a filthy public bus to these types), and has to slum it the Waldof Astoria (also a filthy public hovel to these types) for summer instead of jetting off to some exotic Italian villa. Is the perfect crime though. They just take those donations and then donate that for the write offs. They never donate any of their own money. Growing profits. Profits Grow the Stock price grows. Rinse and repeat every year. (Obviously the stock price can go down but the process is a good business idea.) On top of paying their employees shit. It’s all pretty fucked up but it makes sense from a business perspective. When I worked at a corporation 10+ years ago, I was told only 10% of donations actually go to the charity they promote.
Bueller ferris bueller’s day off art shirt, hoodie, tank top, sweater and long sleeve t-shirt
Best bit: I used to work for an NBA team. I casually mentioned in response to how my weekend was, that I did some charity work. The guy I was talking to, my supervisor, told me to make sure I told HR about it. I was legitimately confused as to why I would tell HR about my weekend. He explained that HR wants to know about anytime we do any charity work so they can add it to the Bueller ferris bueller’s day off art shirt Furthermore, I will do this “Team’s” charity hours. They can say “ the (team) did x number of service hours this year!” Ever since then I noticed that this is EXACTLY what every corporation does. If you donate that 20 dollars to charity? They will say THEY did it. It’s more than the “prestige” as well. Guaranteed those “hours” are used in accounting to translate into a monetary value which is used for charitable tax reductions. That’s the way I feel about the McDonalds asking for change for Ronald McDonald House. You make a jillion dollars a year…
