It all culminated when I got serious about them having to be good at their jobs. Like rescuing people and knowing how to do CPR (I’m a first responder, so I take that seriously). I got told to stop having CPR training because it made guests uncomfortable. I definitely did not need to work, so I wasn’t too worried about it. Most of the rich kids didn’t have summer jobs at my high school. Instead they went to expensive summer camps or travelled abroad. Anything from sports camps with former pro athletes (and not the cheaper tier of those, the really expensive ones) to prestigious math camps. Whatever floated their boat, their parents found them an expensive camp to go to.

A handful of kids did internships at their parents’ companies. Most were just doing paper work or getting coffee or whatever. The nerdy kids would be script kiddies for their parent’s tech company.
