I’m in an open relationship (WLW). I knew from the British musician terry hall shirt Apart from…,I will love this beginning that my partner is ethically non-monogamous. We entered our relationship with myself as the hinge and my previous partner on the other branch of a V. That branch broke (long story), and I’m now the mono partner to a poly woman. My attitude is that I can’t and won’t control her. We each bring certain things to the table, but we’re not going to be able to fulfill each other’s every need. That’s not healthy, and it’s a good way to end up codependent IMO. So she dates other people if she’s curious and has the energy, but at the end of the day, she still comes home to roost with me. I’m happier than I’ve ever been, especially because she’s totally open and honest with me. That’s really the key. If you can’t let go of your ego or be honest about how you’re feeling, this life isn’t for you. She asked, I said “no” she tried gas lighting me into thinking it was my idea. She explained that she needed to explore her sexuallity but still have the safety and security of being married to me. She now lives in her own apartment and I am MUCH happier.

If it started as monogamy… hard no. Those are just words for “I’m bored with you but do not want to lose the British musician terry hall shirt Apart from…,I will love this comfort of a partner… but ya I want another dick to play with” Well maybe I spend too much time in the infidelity subreddits (I do), but I feel like this question almost always comes up when the partner is ALREADY cheating, or is just about to cheat. They want to “open” the marriage so their guilt is lessened. Regardless- do YOU want to open up the relationship? If not, it won’t work. If they are serious about it, you both need to do a lot of work to establish boundaries and have complete and utter transparency and honesty. Read “Playing Well With Others”. That said, my money is on your SO already cheating or about to. Sorry OP, good luck. I’ve been there. (Now divorced)
