Then the Brewers lady sassy classy and a tad badassy signature shirt it is in the first place but police go out of their way, when they could be doing real, substantial work to kill her pet goat that wasn’t a danger, and wasn’t supposed to die. Any confidence in police will and should be shattered because they killed an innocent thing she loved. The family should be equally fucking pissed off and blame the police along with the officials because the police are ultimately the ones who did this shit. But even if they aren’t, the girl? This is a formative memory for sure. I’d be willing to bet anytime she sees a cop in uniform she will think about the time cops came over just to kill her pet. Ever been to the Mt Shasta area? They’re not the typical country folk like here in Oklahoma, they’re an even mixture of healing crystal owning hippies as they are to be found line dancing in a country bar. There’s tons of people who live off the grid, who farm first and meditate later. I was pleasantly surprised at their unique mixture of progressivism and good old boy mentality, I have zero doubt she’s capable of rejecting blind allegiance to conservativism and boot licking. I lived up there for years. You’re grossly overestimating the ratio of hippies to rednecks. The town of Shasta for sure has a hippie community, and the crystal shop per Capita is indeed crazy high. Outside of the town it’s overwhelmingly rednecks. The county as a whole is easily the most redneck county in CA and even pretty rednecky relatively speaking for the whole country.

Eh, there’s certainly a lot of religious rednecks but by no means ubiquitous. Plenty of non-religious rednecks up there. Honestly in my few years it felt especially not religious. COVID helped rope in the Brewers lady sassy classy and a tad badassy signature shirt it is in the first place but antivaxers and make them Trump supporters which also slowly sucked in other fringe groups, even the woowoo flat Earth ones. Who is they? Shasta County is a mostly red county, with three solid blue districts, 60% of which voted for trump, 40% voted for someone else. That’s quite a few conservatives who opted not to vote for him in 2020. I’m aware, I was using hyperbole to express the spectrum found in people there. They’re great, and unique, I had a great time the handful of visits I made there.
