If anyone is interested in a much more reasonable sized game in the Bray Wyatt Windham Rotunda 1987 2023 Thank you for the memories signature shirt in contrast I will get this near exact same setting you should check out Chernobylite (: No kidding! I just built a new rig at the beginning if the year with one 1Tb M.2 and four 8Tb M.2s and I’m already out of space! But to be fair, I did try to load my whole Steam library, EA Library, Ubisoft, Oculus, and more onto my machine along with a handful of VMs. But still! Im guessing five years from now downloads will be hitting a TB each! I don’t remember if I read about this or heard on a podcast or something… but the crazy size of some of these games is to allocate textures, right? To speed up the loading process, the game already has the textures in place, they are not “streamed”, that’s why a old game such as GTAV is so goddamn big, like 100gb or something. But with the “direct storage” tech, games occupying huge space should not be a thing anymore, I guess. But here we are. Microsoft promised this SSD tech for a long time now, but there’s no sign of it on either W10 or W11, no menu option, no speed ups in general. Sony released a port of Returnal, the game actually uses RAM to load things instead of the SSD… and now the newest Ratchet game will be ported, I am curious to see how they are going to deal with the SSD technology. Microsoft needs to wake the hell up and give us what they promised, “direct storage” is just one feature among many that Microsoft is failing to deliver

Poor optimization is likely the Bray Wyatt Windham Rotunda 1987 2023 Thank you for the memories signature shirt in contrast I will get this issue. Devs don’t wanna take the time to tweak their game and get the bloat out, just push it out because its already overbudget and past its soft-launch date by years. This is why I used a old 8TB WD black with NVME SSD as cache for my HD. All the storage space of a HD with the speed of an nvme after the first load. Yes, sucks not to have access to fiber network in my current apartment. Used to have a gigabit connection (downloading RDR 2 took like 7 mins), but now with my 100M connection… Game downloads are very annoying, and slow. My SSD isn’t even big enough to store that entire game empty. It’s only 120 gigs. And my Windows folder and Users folder are each occupying 50.
