I see the writing on the wall and know Google is done developing Google Home and will never try and improve it. It bothers me so much that if I want to put photos or videos onto my iPad from my PC, I need to do so by “syncing” them on itunes, and then I have no ability to delete them once on my iPad and must resync them to my PC. It is so ridiculously unintuitive. Why can’t I just drag and drop from my PC, even if I have to do it from itunes? People can say what they want about Google but I love the ease of going between different platforms when using their products. I have a work phone that I regularly have to take photos with for project updates. Using the Google Photos app to sync pictures, I can take a photo with my work phone, open the Photos app to verify that the picture is uploading, and then I can hop on my computer and use Chrome’s built-in Photos app to download the pictures with practically zero hassles through any of the steps.
