We have to fix our cops before we can fix our gun problem. Warren v. District of Columbia showed that our police have no duty to protect. We can’t say “You’re on your own!” at the Boston bruins damn right I am a boston bruins fan now and forever signatures 2023 sport shirt and by the same token and same time as “But you can’t use a gun to defend yourself” when we’re surrounded by guns. Fewer guns on people would make cops less jumpy around everyone. Right now, in the States, they assume everyone has one and so they act accordingly. If there were not so many guns, perhaps cops wouldn’t be as stressed out about them. Or if you are on the cop hate side of things, they wouldn’t have such an easy defense of “he had a gun”. I think these two problems are intertwined and need to be addressed at the same time. I like how the anchor says at the end “why yes we are sick of it” but Fox news and its viewers will never agree to restrict firearms. She’s not a guest speaker. She’s also wrong that it was a teen who had taken an unsecured weapon. So, maybe leave it to the journalists.

Then Uvalde happened, not only were kids slaughtered, the Boston bruins damn right I am a boston bruins fan now and forever signatures 2023 sport shirt and by the same token and cops LET IT HAPPEN. That’s when I lost the last bit of my “Back the Blue” streak. Honestly a person could walk into an elementary school tomorrow, live streaming their rampage to millions in the nation at that very moment, and nothing would change. They could literally line children up and decimate them by firing squad style against a wall or torture them on live video. Millions would watch a sick bastard murder/torture children and still say “But muh guns!!!! My rights shall not be infringed!!!!” with one breath and then unironically in their next breath say “But we need to eradicate trans people they’re a danger to our children!!!” The Buffalo shooter live streamed it. He aimed a gun at a white person hiding under the register said sorry and then went on to the next black person to kill. You lost a bit? I have 0 support for law enforcement after that. I don’t see how anyone could say their good guys or even ok guys that stood there fully armed and let that happen.
