You can get kicked out of any private property for any reason that isn’t related to a protected class under the Books are my favorite flowers shirt in addition I really love this law. Which I wish more places would use. I’d love to see some good locally owned restaurants give a shithead or two the boot – reviews be damned. I’m a 23 year restaurant veteran. Every half star a business loses is about a 20% drop in revenue, give or take. Bad reviews can crush places now. It’s often cheaper just to give people free food. So, person upthread, if you really want to see that change in the world, when you see some asshat being indulged, make it known that you’ll give the place a bad review if they don’t knock it off. Probably one of those people who think that they’re allowed to be anywhere they want and you need to be breaking the law to be thrown out on your ass. Used to work at a casino. The amount of people who would be kicked out and argue with security that it’s a “public place” and they can’t kick them out would shock you. Lot of people talking about calling their lawyers etc. People saying they are going to call the local news. Ridiculous stuff.I work at a private health club where we have to toss people sometimes and the answer is entitlement. Theyre so entitled that the words “private property” mean nothing to them. I think you’re right – for a certain type of person, they think that’s only something that applies to all of the other people, who aren’t special like they are. I assume because there are a bunch of protected categories that apply under state and federal law, and people hear about those a lot in the news. So people don’t realize that those special cases are exceptions to the rule, not the rule.

I went through Vegas in early 2021 and the Books are my favorite flowers shirt in addition I really love this people on the casino floor were collectively one of the most depressing things I’ve ever seen. Because not everything is as black and white as that. Gambling is a highly regulated industry. States could very well have additional rules about what a casino can and can’t do to their customers that go further than say a restaurant. Not everything is, but this isn’t one of them. They invite people into their property to make money. They don’t lose the ability to kick people out at their discretion just because they’re a casino. It’s a massive reach to think there’s anything special about this situation where that wouldn’t still apply. This is why feelings aren’t exactly the best compass for these things.
