I know there are those of you who love theaters, but the Boo Bees Shirt and by the same token and fact is 99 percent of people don’t want to go and have the theater experience, and I have a feeling many people may never go back like they used to. This only reinforces that. Not only that, completely waste of the marketing. If the first month of showtimes are overpriced, people wait, then marketing fades, they have just lost. Well looks like I won’t go to any AMC. Regal is way better anyway, with their giant reclining seats, it’s the way to go. I have switched to cinemark. I feel like the popcorn tastes better, and I enjoy their rewards program much more. It’s 9 bucks a month and I get 1 free ticket that carries over and 20-25% off concessions (I can’t remember how much). We’ve had a dry spell in January so I had my January and February tickets and get to see Batman for 20 dollars (the price of the subscription both months) instead of the 40+ for two tickets.

Boo Bees Shirt, hoodie, tank top, sweater and long sleeve t-shirt

I absolutely refuse to deal with AMC after we went to a movie and the Boo Bees Shirt and by the same token and concession stand only pulled from the line for people who pay a monthly fee. Now if a movie does seem good enough to go and there’s no openings I go in the first week, prime hours and bring in my own food and drinks. Make sure to benefit the theatre the least amount possible. This industry doesn’t deserve to survive. It’s a film. It’s replayable infinite times. Fuck you if you’re going to try an act like it’s a live event or anything other than renting a public seat in a dirty public space maintained by teenagers to watch a DVD while some idiot behind you talks through the whole thing. Tbh, I’d be fine with variable pricing if that entailed things like better enforcement of the no talking/phones policy or better quality of seats.
