But I’m really disappointed to find out we can’t detect “wetness” like most animals have a hygroreceptors in their skin that actually detects humidity as humidity. What do humans have? We base humidity on texture and temperature. That’s why Cold things can feel “damp” and wet. On a flip side I believe our nose has advanced to smell rain/humidity before it comes. My reasoning is just selfish and would benefit my comfort and not survival. Which is why we don’t have it. As evolution is more about easiest way to survive Vs what would be for comfort.
