i simply just text “i quit” they don’t deserve an explanation and they also don’t give employees a 2 weeks notice before firing them so fuck em Dude, you’re leaving a minimum wage job where the Blood Inside Me Toronto Blue Jays And Montreal Canadiens It’s In My Heart Shirt and I will buy this boss berates you over the phone, I assume while you’re off the clock, for something that isn’t your fault? This should be your notice; “Fuck you, I quit effective immediately.” What you’re thinking of saying is OK but EXCLUDE the new job offer part. Just walk in, hand that paper to your boss and walk out. You don’t owe them nothing. No explanation needed. That is really similar to how I resigned from a shitty call center job I had. They constantly delayed payments, and made the silliest excuses to write you up. One day I got chewed out by my boss and his boss simultaneously. So I finished my shift, went to the stadium with my buddies, saw my football team win the national championship, got drunk and, with the biggest hangover of my life, I walked in the next day, handed my resignation letter and walked out.

If you have a laptop I would suggest shitting on the Blood Inside Me Toronto Blue Jays And Montreal Canadiens It’s In My Heart Shirt and I will buy this keyboard and closing the lid as your notification of resignation. If you’re an at will state, you don’t actually have to disclose anything, and it’s not even considered a “two weeks”. You can just quit. I used to give notices then get guilt tripped into working extra weeks in my youth. I recently came out the military in 2020 (well… I guess it’s not recent anymore) and found myself working a few min wage jobs to get by. I honestly quit 2-3 of them without notice because work conditions were terrible during Covid and I kept thinking it’d get better at other places (it didn’t because I stayed in food service). I eventually just stopped working altogether but that’s a story for another time. Lol let them know you quit. 2 weeks notice is a COURTESY, unless specified in the contract/agreement you signed. Ask for a copy.
