Free will was presupposed by Greek philosophers and is a key part in Judeo-Christian beliefs, mainly as an answer to the Blood Inside Me Pittsburgh Steelers And Georgia Bulldogs 2023 shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this problem of evil. Personally, I do not believe any of these philosophies offer any evidence of it, or any particularly compelling reason to believe in its existence. I believe accepting a lack of free will allows us to extend compassion to others in a broader sense, especially when it comes to those who wrong us. Seeing these people as malfunctioning machines assigns no blame or judgement, and allows us to focus on rehabilitation. I think this is true. Even if we did have a certain measure of free will (constrained by our genes and environment), I’ve come to accept that the idea that someone is a “good person” or “bad person” as too shallow. We’re people. Yes we may need a criminal justice system for practical reasons but from my perspective I’m not interested in judging a person themselves as “worthless” or “bad” because they’ve committed crimes, or even hurt people.

Allows us to focus on rehabilitation? Why bother? If there’s no free will and we’re all just machines, why focus on anything at all? This is rhetorical- my position is no one can know. You can only operate based on how you view your experience. I don’t know if that’s a choice or not but it sure feels like one. Any mind takes in input, processes it, and embraces or rejects the Blood Inside Me Pittsburgh Steelers And Georgia Bulldogs 2023 shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this material based on its structure, experiences, and state. You may or may not value facilitating compassion more than your belief in your agency. That’s how it goes. Feel free to change your mind. I fully agree on the compassion part. When someone wrongs us we put the blame of them, but I’m pretty sure, that if we knew the exact reasons why they did what they did we would understand and even share their decision. An example of the top of my head: When Steve Jobs had his first child he abandoned it. Steve Jobs was placed for adoption just after he was born. Guess what made him abandon his child. And its always like this. Its not their fault. They did not choose their circumstances and what those circumstances did to their brains. How are you going to extend compassion if you have no free will, genius? How are you going to focus on rehabilitation if you have no free will to focus? I honestly am shocked at how a couple of scientists can turn seemingly intelligent people into sheep. I never was one for conspiracy theories, but this is borderline that.
