None of this entails that pain, or that the Blood Inside Me Pittsburgh Steelers And Alabama Crimson Tide 2023 shirt Besides,I will do this one in pain (as neither can exist without the other) are “imaginary.” They’re still real. There may not be a single self at the bottom of it, but a flow of thoughts is still real. As is the phenomenon of identification with those thoughts. They’re all real things occurring within awareness You may discover that the ‘pain’ part is indeed imaginary, that the sensory signal from your nerves to your brain is just energy without judgement, unless you make it into the negative pain. Nonsense. Even the Buddha recognized the difference between pain and suffering. “Being shot by the first arrow of pain is inevitable,” he said, “but the second arrow of suffering comes with judgment/attachment.” (Paraphrasing.) Pain is perhaps the most real of our experiences because no one can actually deny it. They may say they deny it, but when they’re actually in pain, it’s a whole different story Self is an illusion does not mean that you don’t experience a self. We all experience the feeling of being ourselves. It is not imaginary. What it means is that just like any other sensations our sense of self comes and goes. It is temporary and transient.

But there is no self, only representation. There only exists the Blood Inside Me Pittsburgh Steelers And Alabama Crimson Tide 2023 shirt Besides,I will do this sense of self. It is a sensation, like any other sensation. Does a tree that you imagined exist? It is just a sensation/representation. If you investigate into your self, you’ll notice that you cannot find the doer behind the actions or thinker behind your thoughts. You’ll only be able to find just the thoughts and actions themselves. No, but the tree I’m thinking about right now does. It’s in my back yard. And the thing the sensation of the self refers to also exists – it’s me! Yes, the tree exists. How do you know? You can see it and make sure by other scientific means that it exists. What about the self? How do you know it exists? You seek to find the root of your sensation of your self. Where is it? How do you find it? What is the basis of its existence? Try and answer these questions. And don’t just say me. Who is this pronoun me referring to? If you seriously investigate you’ll realize that it’s not a trivial question. All of spirituality regardless of it being part of any religion or tradition is about trying to answer this simple question Who/what am I. Likewise, I can only ever experience one moment at a time but I understand motion. I can only hear one note at a time, but I understand a melody. I can only read one page at a time, but I can experience a story.
