Where I live, left lane campers are usually completely oblivious to the speed limit, and are going 5-10 miles under. I know Europe gets grief for how some countries treat tourists but I have rented a car a few times over there and NO ONE uses the passing lane except to pass. I was shocked. people get over there, speed up to get in front of slower cars, and immediately move back over, it was amazing, especially in France. Obviously, I am not talking about city driving, that’s a shit-show, but on the highways, it’s amazing. I’m a left lane traveler. Why? It’s the fastest lane and I like to speed. Why individually pass every car when I could just use the left lane and get out of the way when I see a speedy(speedier) Gonzales coming? For what it’s worth – no one ever passes me on the right. My dad drove In the left lane because it’s the fast lane. He was “passing” but he didn’t move over for those wanting to go faster.

I think a lot of people genuinely don’t know this rule You’re allowed to drive in it for four miles in pa. I get pissy at people that fly by me doing 100. They are going to kill someone. Even when I’m doing 80 people ride my ass when the speed limit is 65. The old man’s hat restricts blood flow to the brain causing the right leg to contract and pull away from the accelerator. By cracky! You sexy young punks with your fast machines! I wasn’t taught about a passing lane. I was taught fast lane and slow lane. Fast lane for over speed limit, slow lane for speed limit and below. So until recently, ignorance. Though even now I don’t know the lane rules in their entirety, just what other people have told me. 1- people completely oblivious to their surroundings. They are completely clueless, same type of people that never uses their mirrors or merge without looking. 2-self entitled people that think they are priority or are better than anyone(i drive a nicer car, i have a big truck, I’m more important, i live in a free country i do what i want…blabla bla…lame reason insert here) 3-people trying to police other people on the road… I am driving the exact speed limit therefore anyone passing me are BrEAkINg the law and i should stop them. 4- im having a shitty day so ill make sure everyone else is having one too.
