Some rich kids have good parents that don’t give them hand outs. They’ll work normal summer jobs if they want an allowance. Some rich kids don’t have to work jobs at all and focus on education. I don’t know about billionaires, but every kid in my elite New England private school in the Bird Watching Goes Both Ways Birds Aren’t Real Shirt and by the same token and 90s had to get jobs around 16. Mostly, they worked the same types of jobs as other 16 year olds- Starbucks, ice cream shops, the mall for retail, and some got to work at whatever businesses Dad ran. The famous families didn’t necessarily let their kids work regular jobs, but they’d usually find something else for them to do. A more sheltered job where they wouldn’t be bothered. All the ones I know “work” for their parents. Or are busy with their 10 extracurricular activities and summer training. My nephew got a scholarship to do a month long Microbiology camp at one of the Universities. He said it was all rich kids. Honestly, my nephew doesn’t have a summer job either. He need to focus on all the extracurricular stuff so he’ll get scholarships. Someone in this family needs to do big things, he’s our only hope!

During high school they may work PT for a period over summer, but they mainly do summer term tours and summer sports travel teams. Their “jobs” are often to be involved in activities that look good on a college application. They tend to do these in July and then August is spent travelling with family or spending time at the Bird Watching Goes Both Ways Birds Aren’t Real Shirt also I will do this summer home. Once college comes, they may play around first two summers, but usually do internships for her summer by junior year. they work at their parents’ country club. I learned this because at a company I worked for, the annual company gathering for senior staff takes place at a nearby country club where the CEO and most senior EPV and VP are members and the kids working there greet them by first name or calling out dad.
