Don’t get married when you don’t want to, you will regret. It’s your life not theirs. Try to be financially independent so you can leave the BIGFOOT Hide & Seek World Champion shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this house to make them actually realise you own your life not them I don’t understand what is this obsession desi parents have for their children to bind them into marriage, without their consent. Desi parents have no boundaries, they want their kids to even have sex of their choice and not their children’s. You maybe eligible for marriage but the guy won’t be even if he is 10 yrs elder to you. Marriage is least common denominator of every Indian. Every other person irrespective of econmic and social well being strata has a dream to have a wedding.Marriage and wedding are two different thing which most indians don’t get. Reason we are 140 cr and have 140 cr problem. Also this bull shit wedding/ kids thing is spread by bollywood.Marry when you feel and if you like.Else there are better things to do in life and eventually you’ll get someone. Just work on yourself, find a job and leave the house. Stay in contact but keep turning down their requests, this is what my sister does and now she is 34 and she recently found a guy who she actually wanted. My father was against it but she did what she wanted. All the talk about biological clock is societal bullshit.

Stick to your decisions. Was in your situation a year ago. Same thing about girl should get married by 25. It’s always more about the BIGFOOT Hide & Seek World Champion shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this socially “accepted” right age in their mind than it actually being the right age. Same thing was 20 in previous generation and even younger before. None of this is set in stone. People will give you all sorts of arguments about oh, biological clock, this and that but literally NOTHING, NONE of that matters in front of YOUR happiness and what YOU are comfortable with. You are fully capable of making your own decisions. I personally had to have many fights and arguments and deal with idiotic comments especially from male members of the family. I just had a longass breakdown once and after that everyone stopped bothering me lol. It’s your life and your decisions. I get that it’s difficult to field such things so constantly, especially from immediate family members, but just stay true to your decisions. Please don’t succumb under their pressure, fight if you must. More power to you My DMs are open if you want to discuss anything.
