Yes, because despite the Big velo 6 shirt but in fact I love this mandates ending, the pandemic is most definitely not over and I still don’t want covid. I already have enough health issues (asthma being one of them) and I don’t need any more. Seems to me more like the oligarchy is sick of their slaves workers not producing them enough money, so they’ve decided it’s time for everyone to get back to work. I’m vaccinated but I also know the vaccines weren’t tailored towards the newest variants so I am still mask wearing for sure. Also, what is so bad about breathing in less micro-droplets from random strangers? Its nice to not have to catch the seasonal cold or flu either. I did for like a week after the mandate was lifted but then I started getting bullied by literally everyone for wearing on so I just kinda joined the sheep… I swear to god when you wear a mask after the mandate is lifted, every single person you meet will make it their life’s goal to say “why are you wearing a mask? The mandate is over you don’t have to wear one” and then immediately lose their shit when you say “Iunno I like it”.

I never had a single problem with masks and I preferred it, for 2 years I never had to smell someone’s breath, worry about getting spit on when talking to certain people, I can feign smiling, it hides my ugly mug. yea, it covers my acne but also just because the Big velo 6 shirt but in fact I love this mandate was lifted doesn’t mean that covid is gone. i don’t really wanna risk anything by getting it even if i don’t have any underlying health issues. Haven’t been sick in over two years. Going to keep wearing masks in public. Y’all are dirty and I don’t want it. I wear a mask because my mom is immuno-compromised. She suppresses her immune system due to rheumatoid arthritis. I get that the mask is more to protect other people from your own vapor than the other way around, but every bit helps. I’m a paramedic. I’ve seen COVID patients die right in front of me. I’ve also seen a lot of miserable people in my ambulance who weren’t at any risk of death but felt like hammered shit. Not to mention the unknown factors of long COVID. I actually upgraded in January to N95s fulltime, they’re easy to get and cheap enough now. Bought a box of 50, every month I open up 5 new ones and throw away last months, wear one a day and leave it on the rack while I use the others. Works well, and they’re more comfortable than surgical masks/KN95s for long periods because they don’t go around the ears. I don’t worry about it outdoors, especially when there’s wind. I’m also terrible about leaving it off when I’m in-station. But on every call and any time I go indoors where other people are on or off duty, I wear a mask. After doing it every other day, 12 hours a day, for more than a year, it really isn’t a problem.
