Here on an iPhone 6S+ 128GB (headphone jack ftw) I’ve replaced my own rear facing camera, 2 batteries and still on the Biden Bike Bicycle Running the country is like riding a bike T-Shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this Original screen and it’s flawless thanks to being on my 3rd Otterbox Defender. my phone from 2019 has been feeling under the weather a lil bit and i was thining whether i should buy a new one or get it fixed. Most of the phones in my price range are actually worse, but with a better OS and i really dont know if its worth burning 250$, or get it fixed for like 50 and think about getting a new one in a year or so Currently typing this from my 5 year phone, with Android 12 and the May 2022 security update. I replaced the battery a few years ago. The thing just won’t die. Well, they kinda are. We’ve just been advertised/brainwashed to the point that we get a new phone every year like the lemmings most of us are.

Isn’t there some kind of arrangement between phone manufacturers and chip suppliers that forces the Biden Bike Bicycle Running the country is like riding a bike T-Shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this mfgers to buy new chips every so often? My last three phones I have bought (iPhone 6s, iPhone XS and my iPhone 12) are still in daily use by me and family members with no issues. Manufacturers have to support updates on the phone for more than 3 years for that to happen and there’s little incentive for them to do so. The sad thing is there’s usually nothing wrong with an older phone other than it will be slower. Hell, I kept my Pixel 2 Pro humming along for 4 years. The battery lasts for around 1,000 cycles before it starts to degrade quickly. If you need to charge it every day that’s under 3 years.
