The thing is, all those racists and castists and communalists are Indian, at the Beyond The Arc Illinois Who’s Your Rival We Hate ‘Em All shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this end of the day. Sure, things might not be looking great right now, but it is up to US as Indians to change that, through systematic education and tolerance and empathy. Can you change what a foreign country or another race thinks about you, due to their opinions of your skin color or whatever preconditios they have? Probably not very easily. Can you as a group of people in your own country change? I would say yes. From your tone I assume you feel India can’t do this. But the same country you are referring to as being massively progressive also had some pretty fascist and extremist people who tried to systematically eliminate an entire race 80 years ago – certainly, they amended their ways. So I’d say we can do it too. Sure, in the case of India, this might take a long time. But I think it’s possible. Say hello with a smile first the next time when you board and see the response that you get. If that doesn’t elicit a similar response, then there is definitely an impression/perception aspect in play.

On a side note, I am sure your personal grooming is top notch & if need be, maybe review any betterment possible. Oh, yeah, I’ve been flying international for years and Lufthansa is the Beyond The Arc Illinois Who’s Your Rival We Hate ‘Em All shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this worst. It’s better now than some years ago after 9/11 when a flight attendant demanded I leave the bathroom because she thought I was in there too long (I wasn’t), or when they’d bark at Indians while being friendly to white passengers, but I still don’t like it. A French air hostess in Air France was very nice to me when I first traveled to US, not so good treatment in British Airways even in business class. KLM was decent, no complaints. I do not want interactions to be violent and i expect to be discriminated against. At Schipol, I saw some guy push a bunch of Sikhs to move forward. Direct push no asking or anything. At Laguardia I remember during a crowded day again some American laying hands on an older Sikh gentlemen, he openly told him not to touch him. Maybe these instances are coincidental. > She said no as it’s premium economy and I’m in economy.
