There is a reddit sub which might be able to help you, think it’s photoshoprequests…sorry on my phone and in huge rush, didn’t wanna forget. They can take multiple photos and combine, eg take your face from one you like and put in another where baby is looking great but you are blinking. You might be able to salvage something. You can take him to small claims court for misrepresenting his ability with children and photography if he’s not going to stand by his work. But did he misrepresent his ability to work with children? (We don’t know!) If he said he has lots of experience and it turns out he didn’t, sure that could be an argument. But this is a lesson in “I should have learned what what to ask” (OP didn’t ask about their experience with babies) and what to look for in photographers. You might get lucky like I did. My ex hired a squirrelly photographer and while we were waiting for the Best zulu Elvis Mothafuck Him And John Wayne shirt but in fact I love this finished product someone burned the photographer’s studio down. That money was saved. Oh well.

Sorry this happened to you. If you still plan on taking photos, I’d get a contact that protects you in getting what you want from the Best zulu Elvis Mothafuck Him And John Wayne shirt but in fact I love this photographers. You’ll probably find better candidates/services that way since both parties would have to agree & sign. Live and learn , you’d think people would be cooperative, smh. I always let people know what to expect. I practiced newborns for free for friends to get experience. I watch a ton of YouTube videos on family poses and prompts and save my favourite to review before each session. I bring extra things to make the days run smooth like blankets sound machines, props, etc. I give tons of instructions and I have never been late. I’m so sorry. This definitely isn’t the experience anyone should have when taking family photos.
