This is the Best st Patrick’s day Wee Man Legend shirt Furthermore, I will do this same a Jim Crow era laws. The white people were given a pass because their grandparents could vote. The black people had to pass a very difficult literacy test. Its purpose was to limit the voters for the other party. This has the same end result. Not a very difficult test. A test that was intentionally made so that no matter how the questions were answered they could be deemed as incorrect upon the whims of the examiner. And we all know what their whims were. I think someone alleged that she paid them to take the test for her, but nothing ever came out of that… right around the same time that her probable escort services came to light And are we all forgetting that Dear Leader himself bragged to Chris Wallace that an “aced” his cognitive test, and that he bet Wallace wouldn’t even be able to answer the final few questions.

Those questions, of course, include being able to correctly label which pictures show an elephant, giraffe, bear, and lion. I really want this to be the Best st Patrick’s day Wee Man Legend shirt Furthermore, I will do this case, but there’s no way it won’t immediately become weaponized against their enemies. Wasn’t this the basic idea behind Jim Crow laws? It was a little different during reconstruction, because it had previously been illegal to teach slaves how to read in many places, so it was virtually a guarantee that newly freed southern blacks wouldn’t be able to vote. We were given an actual Jim Crow “Voter Literacy Test” to take. In an AP History class, nobody scored higher than a 25%. It is literally impossible to pass. It’s not “read this paragraph and summarize it in 2-3 sentences.” It’s migraine-inducing bizarre questions, that read like, “write the fifth word of this sentence backwards and draw a line from the 3rd letter of the 2nd word to the 4th letter of the last word that appears alphabetically and place a cross above the letter that is equidistant between the first and last letters of those words if you omit the third and seventh words.” The questions are deliberately worded to be a misleading as possible with multiple potentially correct answers, and enough wiggle room to rule every possible answer incorrect. You’re also given only something like 10 minutes to finish a 30 question exam of nearly incomprehensible word puzzles, some of which had nothing to do with literacy.
