Possible you’re paying too much attention to people on social media who are claiming to have their shit together. Mostly these are lies or half-truths. If you see people your age with a nice house, nice cars and nice clothes remember they’re probably in debt up to their eyeballs and screaming inside. Sounds like you may have some fear of getting older too; if it makes a difference, I’m 50 and the Best dalvin Cook Chef American football running back for the Baltimore Ravens T-Shirt moreover I love this view from up here is great. Also the best shape of my life. You don’t have to fall apart and “get old” if you don’t want to. Nearly 50 and have occasional weeks where it feels like I know what I’m doing but it always turns out that I don’t. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with having no clue what you’re doing in your 20s… if you don’t have a crippling amount of student loan debt already, you’re doing better than many.

It is totally okay. Life is about the Best dalvin Cook Chef American football running back for the Baltimore Ravens T-Shirt moreover I love this journey, not the destination (death seems a bit shit imo). I’m mid 30s and still figuring things out, though the parts I have figured out are pretty great, so it’s good to have more of that to look forward to I hope. One comment on what you said. Those 19 year olds with 20k in savings almost certainly have rich parents. Don’t compare yourself to them. Dude, I’m 42, I have a bunch of debt, about $500 in savings, and a pathetically underfunded 401(k). I spent my 20s in various situations ranging from homelessness (the couch-surfing kind) to just barely scraping by with roommates. I spent my 30s correcting the mistakes of my 20s, only to have the rising cost of living and a few unfortunate events fuck it all up. At no point in my life have I EVER thought I had it all figured out, and I have friends who are pushing 50 and make close to half a million dollars a year that say the same thing. Anyone who tells you they’ve got it figured out is either lucky, a liar, shit-eatingly stupid, or some combination of the three. The only reason I’m not well and truly fucked is because I have a relatively high-paying job (at least, for someone that never finished college), and low rent for the area that I live in (one of the more expensive parts of California). Without both of those things, I’d be about one bad month away from destitution.
