I’m not rich but I am doing the Behind the sky music blazin’ bev shirt and by the same token and same thing as I climb the wealth ladder. When I was poor as a kid I wanted so badly to not look poor and the easiest way to not look poor is with nicer clothes. As I have moved up to a higher income and wealth bracket I guess I have lost that motivation to show everyone that I’m not poor. as a banker, clients with higher account balances do not want those balances printed on their receipts.. they don’t want to lose them or have someone find that number. and just for a fun fact, half of them look middle class and the other half look soo poor. you would have no idea that guy in the dirty clothes with frazzled hair has 3million while the fancy lady who owns a business has an account in the negative. it’s really fun to see the differences, and it’s definitely a lesson to always treat everyone equally.

like you can sometimes accurately assess wealth, but you really have no idea how wealthy a person is just by looking at them. I’d like to offer a slight contrast to a lot of the Behind the sky music blazin’ bev shirt and by the same token and comments I have seen in here. I spent some years as a microwave in the room of Aspen, and I found that it often came down to personality. I saw about a 50-50 split of people wanting to flaunt vs people wanting to brush flannel shoulders with the peasant folk. I say this entirely light heartedly. The ones who dressed down, legitimately seemed to just want to live a normal day to day existence, and in my experience were quite pleasant. It’s a big grey area, and certainly not a universal generalization. Most people who I knew to be be violently well off were quite lovely, and I did not interact with them in a capacity as anything other than being a fellow citizen.
