So what, Ben Franklin was a satan worshipping baby murderer, our country was not about abortion. You all will have to learn the Beer Teddy Brewsevelt – Beer Independence Day Shirts 31 Beer-Przd What’s more,I will buy this hard way I suppose. Didn’t god kill tons of peoples children to test the loyalty to him? Didn’t he also trick people into killing off their children? Didn’t he also produce a plague that killed millions of people? Wasn’t satan referenced like… a handful of times? The wonderful thing about freedom is that you are entitled to pursue and practice your own morality within the sanctity of your own private life. Freedom does not bestow the right to enforce your vision of morality on others. I’ll never understand cherry picking history. Yes abortion has been around since before the United States was formed as an entity…however, some believe abortion is to take an innocent life (science has come a long way since the late 18th century-and a long way since 1973-especially concerning pregnancy and following the building of life in the womb)… So those people who see abortion as taking an innocent life would view abortion as most would view slavery…or lack of womens rights…or child labor…or indentured servitude…or class system…or public executions…that is morally wrong.

At the Beer Teddy Brewsevelt – Beer Independence Day Shirts 31 Beer-Przd What’s more,I will buy this end of the day, Christian fundamentalism can wear a justice’s robes but that doesn’t mean it’s going to produce reasonable judicial opinions, especially not when it openly bucks public knowledge. Some believe they will inherit their own planet when they die, why do we need to oppress other people with these religious beliefs? I agree. Just like firearms. Back in the old days there was no background checks or wait periods. I like that idea. 2a!! Part of the debate is basically what/who we ascribe personhood to. Some would say that a fertilized egg is a person and is therefore entitled all the associated rights. Others would say that only once its a growing embryo is it a rights-deserving person. And others yet would place that cut-off further along when it is a fetus with a more developed nervous system etc. Its all about where we want to put that line, and ask ourselves what is personhood and what purpose do the idea of human rights serve. It’s likely that you and the person you replied to disagree on whether a fetus is a “person.” Rather, Alito based his draft opinion overturning Roe v. Wade on what the Founding Fathers thought. This destroys his argument.
