Aha no I had a kidney infection that turned septic and then lost my ability to walk because of guillian-barre. But apparently I was just being dramatic and “didnt need a wheelchair”. Should have known to change hospitals after that. After 4 ER trips I should have known better. My right kneecap is facing inwards when it never did before, and it nearly bashes into the other knee when I walk. I have chronic pain from rheumatoid arthritis and a doctor told me I’m too young to be in so much pain. Another doctor told me that the body pain was in my head from SA and to go see a psychiatrist Was having terrible trouble sleeping despite trying everything from exercise, melatonin, and warm milk to every OTC sleep med available. I couldn’t work. Nothing helped. Hadn’t slept in days! She told me to drink warm milk. I lost my shit at her and fired her as my doc. Idiot.

I had a year or so of depression symptoms ( much better now) but my gp repeatedly, like at three appointments, said I should “just pray about it”. Right as I was about to change drs she left. I really liked her except for that nonsense. Had a weird ass lump near my pelvic bone which was causing discomfort, and I was prescribed some meds which turned out I was allergic to. He said, “Stop taking them.” It was at this point he checked my file because he was getting annoyed with my flippant replies. He didn’t say much after that. Gave me alternate meds and sent me away. When I was 2 I was jumping on the bed with my older sister (6) and fell off the bed and fractured my lower tibia. My mom took me to see the doctor and he said that I was “being timid and should toughen up and there was nothing wrong with my leg” After another day of pain/crying and not being able to walk Mom went back and demanded a second opinion from another doctor. They order xrays and sure enough my leg is broken. Still can’t believe the incompetence. That my weight has caused, oh literally EVERYTHING wrong with my body. I’m 223lbs and 5’8″ Overweight, yes. Grotesquely so, no. My tongue was swollen – ENT “how do you know your tongue is swollen. Maybe it’s always looked like that. Have you gained weight recently? Maybe it’s weight gain”. Mine told me to “stay off the internet “ when I asked her about things WebMD and Mayo Clinic told me to ask my Dr about.
