Headline should read: “Dog Barks – Man Shoots Dog” The dog was at large, unattended, and per bystanders the dog approached the man barking. The man then shot the threatening dog. Imagine being able to kill someone’s non-threatening dog and getting off on a technicality. “I felt threatened” seems so opened to interpretation. This guy should have been shot. Sued. Charged. The poor dog knew the man was there to kill him before it happened. Not surprised the judge aka another Republican far right allows another criminal to be let go. Remember these are the same people who let pedos go back on the streets! It’s a business and they make money the more people offend. Very sad and disturbing story. If I may present my German view on things: it seems that when you don’t have any perspective in the US, but need the feeling of being respected, you either go work for the police or for the military in the US.

Why was it ever off the leashe in an open area if they don’t know for sure that the dog is able to handle itself. Fuck, some could be trained to do EXACTLY THAT in order to draw attention to their owner. The bit that completely blows my mind is that his first impulse was to shoot it, like fucking hell. Is it a result of the culture? Is this what having guns everywhere does to people? Don’t get me wrong, they should have had the dog in a fenced yard or watched, but there was no need to go straight to shooting it. To me this almost seems like the guy realised he was LEGALLY allowed to shoot the dog and chose to do that. One shot? After reaching in and over the dog? That’s not someone who thinks they’re being attacked, you don’t reach towards a dog you think is going to bite you.
