I felt like that pretty much after any trip I took before I decided to make travel my lifestyle. Now i never spend more than 2 months without seeing something new. Ended up moving to Europe in the pandemic too. All that being said, i think when you are traveling your brain is getting constantly stimulated and I think it’s normal to feel a little down when you go back home. It might not be the place where you don’t belong (Mexico City), but the reality of your life that you’re coming back to that you’re not happy with. What is it you’re really not happy with? Yeah I understand this. I visited Geneva/Switzerland only for a short while but I felt ‘homesick’ once I got back home, I just missed being there and the Awesome rick And Morty Pew Pew Madafakas Vintage Shirt and I will buy this general feel of the place. It sounds like what you are experiencing could be signs of depression. It first affected me at 17yo, but can definitely appear later in life. Having a difficult time with your closest friend could absolutely be a trigger for an episode.
