Lots of stores donate food to local food banks , things like meats , can be donated after the Awesome lucky Girl Who Loves Wieners St Patrick’s Day Dog shirt in addition I really love this expiration date ,as long as they were frozen in date . That saves a lot of food waste , plus it lasts much longer ,being frozen . Mine does the same! I was in self checkout and they walked up to me with a donation flyer, and then the self checkout kiosk itself asked the same question in the screen. We can’t hire people to work the actual checkout, but we sure can hire them to watch the self checkout and show donation flyers. I remember I got one once for no specific charity. They just said “do you want to donate to charity?” Nothing popped up on the screen so I said no because what charity you’re just saying the word charity. No point in being rude to the employee, but yeah fuck donating through the grocery store. They’re just trying to get the tax write off

Awesome lucky Girl Who Loves Wieners St Patrick’s Day Dog shirt, hoodie, tank top, sweater and long sleeve t-shirt

No they are not trying to get a tax write-off. That’s not how charitable donations going to an intermediary works. They are doing it for the Awesome lucky Girl Who Loves Wieners St Patrick’s Day Dog shirt in addition I really love this public relations. So they can say they “raised $X for charity”. The store would not get a tax write off – the customers are the ones donating and would be entitled to the tax deduction if they chose to contribute. I don’t know why people can’t understand this simple fact. Every time I see this crap about stores asking you to “round up” there’s always half the people thinking the stores writing that off on their taxes for some reason. Yup, if I wanna donate to a charity I’ll do it on my own without reducing stop and shops tax burden like their the one who is donating
