The amount that they can collect from there customers is not only decreasing the amount of cash they need to actually give to the charity, but they also still get to claim the $X amount they committed to donate. When you donate at a store for a charity, the store gets the tax deduction. That’s why they collect for charity, it improves their bottom line with your money. If you don’t give money to the company to donate, how will they get a tax write-off to give money to Jeffrey Epstein, I mean their buddies, getting paid way to much to run the ‘Charity’? Are we sure it’s even being donated? How long before it’s just ANOTHER way for the corporation to make money? I get taxed to death, fined to death, billed to death, and now charitied to death.

They’re 100% profiting from it. Most people don’t realize that even if the company/store legitimately donated the money YOU contributed, THEY get to receive the tax deduction. I refuse to donate through grocery/corporate stores ever since I found out they use them as their own tax write-offs I read somewhere that they already did donate, you are just paying them back when it asks you to round up that extra 20 cents or whatever Worst part is that the company uses your donation as a tax write off to just increase their profit margin. So you’re basically giving free money to the company. And most donations to charities don’t actually go towards the cause, but rather towards their overhead/admin/salary costs. It’s a tax cut, they can say that they donated X amount and have shit loads of tax write offs in return… I’m pretty sure that’s how it works at least they do donate $20 to end child hunger… they ask you to supply the money, then they make the donation and get the tax write off! it’s brilliant
